Cancun Chambray is an extremely lightweight Mexican denim in a timeless washed blue chambray. It is lightly structured, making it the ideal trans-seasonal denim for beginners. Cancun Chambray needs no special denim accessories when sewing, and will work well for shirts, pants, skirts and dresses.
Mexico has a rich textile history dating back to at least 1400 BCE, when pre-Hispanic cultures such as the Maya and later the Aztecs used hand-spun cotton and other natural fibres to create garments, as well as to pay tributes and taxes. Textile production evolved over the centuries, and during the Industrial Revolution, new techniques and machinery began to influence traditional methods.
