Awaji Island in Hyogo Prefecture, blessed with good soil, is one of the leading Kawara (Japanese traditional roof tiles) producing areas in Japan. This ceramic tile, made from Awaji Kawara clay, has been glazed, fired, and made into the handle of this beautiful seam ripper. It has a smooth texture and a glossy colour coat on its rustic texture. Each has a silk tassel with gold threads that match the colour of the glaze.
Useful for cutting threads for seams and punching buttonholes, the seam ripper has a sharp blade made in Japan, and a protective genuine leather cover with the Cohana logo engraved.
